The choice of subjects for admission in B.Sc.(Maths Group) NEP for the session 2024-25
- The student will have to choose 2 Major subjects and One Minor subject from groups
- Minor subject will be allowed to be chosen from any group except the goup from which the Major subjects has already been chosen.
- The subject which has been chosen as major subject cannot be chosen as minor subject.
*If the candidate chooses the Self-Finance (SF) courses then the fees of the self finance subject shall be applicable.

The percentage is based upon total marks of all the subjects.

Seat allotment in B.A. (NEP) PROGRAMME for the session 2024-25
- - The student will have to choose 2 Major subjects from groups A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H (one subject from any group)
- - One Minor subject will be allowed to be chosen from any group under Minor subjects except the groups from which major subject has been chosen as Major subjects
- - The subjects which have been chosen as major subject cannot be chosen as minor subject.
Note: Following points should be kept in mind in selection of subjects.
- - Candidates have to select three subjects from any three-group opting one subject from a group.
- - The candidates cannot offer more than two literatures.
- - The candidates cannot offer more than two practical subjects.
- - For opting Mathematics candidates must have mathematics as a subject in Intermediate.
- - If the candidate has passed out Hindi Sahitya Sammelan, Prayag, Allahabad or Nadwa College, Lucknow and has not passed Intermediate
Examination with English language then she is not eligible for admission.
- - Only those candidates can offer Urdu/Sanskrit from Group C who has studied Urdu/Sanskrit in High School/Intermediate.

RESERVATION AND WEIGHTAGE POLICY
Caste and income certificates shall be verified on Government website. All candidates who have sought some weightage or sub category reservation have to get their certificate. Candidates, who have sought any weightage or subcategory in their application form but do not provide certificate for verification will not be given the benefit claimed.
Reservation
The reservation shall be given as permissible under the Uttar Pradesh Government Policy / University Rules.
Vertical Reservation
- Scheduled Caste -21%
- Scheduled Tribe -2%
- OBC (Non-Creamy Layer)- 27%
- Economically Weaker Section (EWS) -10%
Important Note
- The scheduled caste, scheduled tribes and other backward class candidates originally belonging to Uttar Pradesh will be given the benefit of reservation. Scheduled castes, scheduled tribes and other backward class candidates of other states will be treated as general.
- Applicants of OBC Non-Creamy Layer category would require the following certificates at the time of counseling OBC Certificate issued on or after January 1, 2020. The OBC Non-Creamy layer certificate issued before July 1, 2017 will not be considered.
- If the OBC category certificate is issued after July 1, 2017 and before January 1, 2020, they will have to submit the income certificate issued on or after January 1, 2020 along with the category certificate.
- Reservation for Economically Weaker Sections (EWS Applicants of the General category who
want to claim the benefit of the EWS reservation have to upload the following documents during filling of online application forms EWS certificate issued by appropriate authority and Self Declaration Form.
- If the candidate has passed out from Hindi Sahitya Sammelan, Prayag, Allahabad or Nadwa
College, Lucknow & has not passed Intermediate Exam with English language then he/she will not be eligible for admission.
- The candidate shall be entitled to weightage (if any) on the merit.
- No candidate will get the permission for any change in weightage or reservation after the form is submitted.
- The reservation shall be given as permissible under the Uttar Pradesh Government/Lucknow
University Rules.
- The College reserves the right to cancel any admission at any stage
- .The request for refund of fees to withdrawal from the course shall only be entertained if made within 30 days from the date of admission provided the student has not attended the classes.
- During counseling, subjects are allotted on the basis of rank of the candidate who have reported for the counseling within the stipulated time and availability of seats at that time. Candidates who came late have no claim if seats of their choice are filled up. They would be offered choices of subjects available at that time.
Horizontal Reservation

Weightage
The candidate shall be entitled to weightage (if any) on the merit. The final merit of the
candidates will be determined by adding % (allotted to respective category) of the total marks
obtained by her in the qualifying examination.
- Outstanding Sportsperson National Level 5% of marks obtained in qualifying examination.
- Outstanding Sportsperson State Level 2.5% of marks obtained in qualifying examination
- N.C.C. “B” Certificate holders - 2.5% of marks obtained in qualifying examination
- N.C.C. “C” Certificate holders - 5% of marks obtained in qualifying examination
- Student of Mahila Vidyalaya Inter College5% of marks obtained in qualifying examination
Competent authorities for issuance of certificates: -
- - Freedom Fighter - District Magistrate.
- - Physically Handicapped -Chief Medical Officer.
- - N.C.C. “B” or “C” Certificate -District Magistrate, Additional District Magistrate, City Magistrate, Pargana Magistrate or Tehsildar
- - Reservation certificate shall be verified on internet.
- - Income certificate (within 6 months). Income certificates shall be verified on internet.
- - Teachers/ Employees of University -Registrar, University of Lucknow. The certificates issued on or after 1st March of the year of admission will only be considered;
- - Teacher /Employees of the Affiliated Govt./Aided Colleges of Lucknow University -A Principal of the college.
The certificates issued on or after 1st March of the year of admission will only be considered.
- The weightage will be given according to the rules of University to the players of the following categories.
- --- Such players who have taken part in the inter-regional competitions on behalf of regional team after being selected at the district level in the last two years (the original certificates given by the DIOS/RIOS/DDO will be acceptable).
- --- Such players who have represented Uttar Pradesh in national or inter-state competitions in last two years and the competitions have been organized by State Sports originations recognized by the authorities. The certificates given by the organizers of Govt. organizations of these competitions will be acceptable.
